Grand Gems Public School at Thakurnagar, is the brainchild of Mr. Sudip Ghosh son of Mr. Krishna pada Ghosh. Born and bred in this village. it was his dream to build an English Medium Co – Education School at Thakurnagar. He is a visionary and thus felt the need to spread education among the village children and offer them the opportunities and privileges enjoyed by the children living in an urban setting. He believes that children are the same everywhere and the only difference is the ‘Environment’ which shapes, moulds and nurtures these young minds.
